day 1 since i forgor yesterday worked more on my note taking app, i think i'll be giving up on fltk because what im trying to do isnt working, why is making a sidebar so hard in fltk? maybe im doing it wrong idk also i think i'll make a simple hash function for the summer of making ship a project this weekend thing

I've spent 11 hours working on a project for an online FRC competition. The project uses the official FRC matchmaker software has registration via discord, and an OBS overlay complete with a status bar, alliance selection, and an endgame screen

Alright so today I did my submission for the squeak ysws! Hopefully the mouse case actually fits (pls pls pls) I decided to make a note taking app for the optimize ysws! Searched the whole day for a framework thatt works and wasn't too barebones and found fltk.org which seems to not be too simple while still using less then 50mb (my app currently only uses 17mb!!). right now everything that the note taking app has is just a screen where you write text

OK so I disappeared for a handful of days... Basically, I was at the peak district, camping with my family and some family friends. Did I do physics? Yes, I'm Delana for god's sake, of course I did physics. Did I do a lot of physics? Admittedly not much, I was limited to a couple problems a day, and I read a couple physics books after splurging on Waterstones the first day of camping when we made a stop in the middle of our car ride to eat lunch. So WHY didn't I post? Well... the signal there was rubbish. If I was really, really lucky then maybe slack would load new messages a couple of times a day. My signal was not nearly good enough to post pictures, and so while I mourn the loss of my streak, here I am, and I'm going to start posting daily again XD. For day 18 of my Olympiad prep journey, I decided to do another past paper XD. But no one wants to see that ~~okay I'm not bothered to get my phone out to take a picture~~ So here's a screenshot of the paper I did instead lol. I'm going to end all my posts with a little fire emoji and a number from now on to show how many days long my current streak is

Alright so received my pincil today, and i forgot the actual solder... to solder my pcb... decided to try to make the keyboard anyway, seems like iit doesnt work, at least the firmware i flashed actually worked also did more research and decided to use rgfw since it only uses software rendering (i think?) which makes it use less then 50mb (41mb) for the optimise ysws, kinda sad i couldnt figure out how to turn on software rendering on the other libraries but whatever, ii gotta code something now!

i finally got my #C088UF12N1Z| steam grant!!!!!! i submitted it to steamworks today and going to be waiting for payment to go through

also i dont think i ever shipped my juice game so SIGNAL LOST!! (made in march.......) spent 106 hours on it! and its basically a 2d space platformer made in Godot where you are an astronaut trying to find the spaceship parts so you can rebuild it and return home. there are 4 levels, alien sky forest, cave, and city. you get around with WASD to walk around and jump and arrow keys to change the direction of gravity!! and avoid plants. also you can talk to aliens!! using E to toggle and space to lock in answer. also, you have an oxygen bar and your oxygen goes down as time passes. there are oxygen bubbles around that you need to collect or else you will die. i drew all the art in aseprite ;) hopefully y'all will be seeing this game on STEAM soon ‼️ juice.hackclub.com/games?hackerId=reczO1ixMsU7X9x9w github.com/themagicfrog/signalLost themagicfrog.itch.io/signal-lost youtu.be/xOPEmfhwQyI

I worked on making a basic package for hypridle, hyprlock, and grimblast for alpine linux since i'm planning to switch to it (soon) Finished the text editor tutorial. Now working on the project for the optimize ysws, I think i'll make a text editor, still choosing what framework/libraries to use. (right now in go but will probably change i'm really unsure)

Today I discovered you can call golang functions from js using WASM and pkg.go.dev/syscall/js which is pretty cool. I think I'm going to try to make some sort of interactive colourful making thingy with it! I also worked some more on the #C096T301L2G| thing and made some actually nice wallpapers I think, like this one which is supposed to be fire-y colours

Day 6: Wasted the whole day in trying to setup ventoy on a pendrive, I have kali and parrot in live usb now btw, but I don't need it so... wasted.

Day 8 (i think) today i ate- okay we arent doing this learned/did a tutorial about making a text editor in the command line, did the tutorial from viewsourcecode.org/snaptoken/kilo (stoppeed near the end at 7. syntax highlighting) it was very interesting and kinda surprising because i thought there would be a more complex way to edit the text but no its just stored as an array of lines that can be modified, most of the thing is actually just making it work inside of a terminal tomorrow im going to finish this tutorial/thing then i'll brainstorm some ideas for the optimise ysws

Made a script for hackducky! Started and finished today so my brain is kinda fried. Going to ship it (SOM) on a later date. The script automatically rickrolls the user, as well as do smaller annoying things.

Seeing the @/ ping prevention hack in help channels and how this could be made better, I decided to make @NoPing , a Slack bot which automatically converts all mentions with lookalike links that won’t ping. It’s very simple: /np before your message. It doesn’t work in threads for now (slash commands don’t work in threads); I’ll use some sort of composer (like the edit modal, which I’ve implemented) and a “Reply to this thread” shortcut. I intentionally made it work without databases (by using text checks before executing edit functions) which might backfire

so today i did more things so im pretty happy of myself!!! i finished my mouse case, its probably bad/not going to fit the bambu mouse for some reason, but i tried! (so the squeak ysws is approximatiely done, not submitted cuz im waiing for confirmation that my thing is good) now im trying to participate to the optimize ysws and will try to make a text editor! currently taking an online tutorial on how to make a text editor using c (very cool)

kind of late post but im going to try to use scrapbook more regularly now so during undercity i made a small gaming console that has pong, breakout, and a draw app with @/froppi ! it has 2 analog sliders, a orpheus pico, TFT display, and cardboard case

So, finished learning about onshape, and finally started doing the cad for squeak! here is apreview of it, its gonna be awesome cuz i'll ahve both a hackclub provided keyboard (hackpad) and a hackclub provided mouse (squeak if i get approved)

scrapbook day 5 didnt do much i woke up and fixed a few bugs/inconvenences with favoritemusicbadge (now automatically deletes the cloned git repo and doesnt error out if there is nothing to commit) i'll try to participate to the squeak ysws originally wanted to make this a freecad project, but it seems like i should use onshape instead, spend my whole day taking a boring tutorial on onshape
